About this publication

Independent research notes on artificial intelligence, computer science, geoscience, and Earth observation — with primary sources, stated limitations, and dates readers can check.

This site is written and edited by Masood Sultan, a computational geoscientist & ai engineer based in Berlin, Germany. It exists to publish careful, source-backed writing about AI systems, computational science, and the Earth sciences — the kind of explanation that states what is known, what is uncertain, and where the evidence comes from.

What it covers

  • Artificial IntelligenceModels, systems, benchmarks, and the engineering built around them.
  • TechnologyHardware, software, platforms, and the infrastructure that carries computation.
  • Computer ScienceAlgorithms, systems research, software engineering, and tooling.
  • ScienceFindings and methods from across the physical and life sciences.
  • GeoscienceEarth systems, geophysics, geology, and environmental modelling.
  • Earth ObservationRemote sensing, satellite missions, and planetary-scale data.

How articles are classified

Every article carries a format label so readers always know what they are reading: news, research brief, analysis, explainer, tutorial, or opinion. Opinion is never presented as reporting.

Independence and funding

This is an independent publication. It carries no advertising, sponsored posts, or affiliate links. Projects written about are disclosed in the article itself when the author is involved in them.

Corrections and contact

Mistakes are corrected in place and noted with an update date; the process is described in the editorial standards. To report an error or suggest a story, use the contact details on the portfolio site.
